Advertising & paid media

Your ad money goes to Google, not to us.

We run Google, Facebook and Instagram ads for small businesses for one flat monthly fee. You pay the platforms directly, on your own card, in accounts you own. We don't earn more when you spend more, so the only thing we're paid to care about is what each lead costs you.

How it works

Four steps, no mystery.

Every account follows the same path, whether we're starting from nothing or taking over something that has been running for years.

01

Audit

We look at what is running now, what it costs per call or form, and where the money is leaking. You get the findings whether you hire us or not.

02

Setup or cleanup

A one-time build. Accounts in your name, tracking on real calls and forms, and campaigns built new or rebuilt from what you have.

03

Run

Weekly checks on search terms, budgets and placements. Fresh ads before the old ones go stale. Wasted spend cut as soon as we see it.

04

Report

One page every month, built from the platforms' own numbers, plus a short call about what changed and what comes next.

Why a flat fee

We don't earn more when you spend more.

A fee based on a percentage of your ad spend, or a bundled package where the fee is hidden inside the budget, both pay the agency more when your spend goes up. A flat fee takes that pressure away. If the right answer is to spend less, we can say so.

The usual state of things

Most ad accounts leak quietly.

Nobody is doing anything dramatic wrong. Small problems just stack up when no one is looking at the account every week.

What we usually find
  • One monthly payment, with no way to see how much of it reached Google or Meta
  • An ad account that belongs to the agency, so the history leaves when you do
  • Tracking that counts page views as leads, or no tracking at all
  • Search ads showing for searches that have nothing to do with the business
  • The same ad running for a year after people stopped noticing it
  • Reports full of impressions and clicks, with no calls or forms anywhere
What you get instead
  • Our fee and your ad spend on separate bills, so the split is never a question
  • Accounts in your name, with you as the owner and us as a user
  • Tracking on the calls and forms that actually come in
  • Search terms reviewed weekly, with the wasted ones blocked
  • New ads before the old ones go stale, written and designed in house
  • Reporting on cost per lead, the number that decides whether ads are worth it
The big-platform question

Bigger doesn't buy cheaper clicks.

Large ad resellers sometimes say their size gets them better pricing on ads. Google and Meta both price ads through an auction, based on your bid and how relevant your ad is. A reseller enters the same auction you would. What size buys them is software and reporting, not wholesale clicks.

What a bundled package gives you

  • One bill that covers everything
  • A dashboard and a login
  • A sales rep and an account team
  • Extras like call tracking, sometimes included

Questions to ask before you sign

  • How much of my monthly payment reaches Google or Meta, in writing?
  • Who owns the ad account if I leave?
  • Can I see the platform's own numbers, not only your dashboard?
  • Is there a contract term or a cancellation fee?
  • Who actually works on my account, and how many others do they handle?

If someone won't tell you how much of your budget reaches Google, that is the answer.

Why we put the split on separate bills
Do the math

Where your budget actually goes.

Put in what you spend on advertising each month, all in. This shows how much of it would reach the platforms with us, because the split is the whole point.

Everything you pay now, agency fee and ad spend together.
Facebook and Instagram run from the same Meta account, so they count as one.
Goes straight to the platforms
$850
68% of your budget, paid on your own card.

Our fee: $400 a month, on a separate bill.
your total − our flat fee = ad spend you pay Google or Meta directly

How to read it: the fee does not change when your ad spend does. We recommend at least $500 a month in ad spend per platform. Below that, the fee is a large share of the total and the results are hard to judge, so we would rather tell you to wait than take the work.

Who it's for

Built for owner-operators.

If you are paying for ads and can't say what a lead costs you, this is where to start.

We work with small independent businesses across North County San Diego, the Temecula Valley, and Colorado's Front Range.

  • Businesses in a bundled ad package who want to see the split
  • Owners who tried Google Ads themselves and stopped
  • Shops with seasonal peaks, like florists and gift stores
  • Service businesses where one booked job pays for a month of ads
  • Anyone whose whole ad plan is boosting posts
  • Owners who want to learn to run their own ads, with us alongside
Reporting

What you see every month.

One page, the same layout every month, so you can compare one month to the next without a meeting to explain it.

A typical agency report
  • Impressions and reach as the headline numbers
  • Click-through rate with no link to calls or sales
  • A screenshot of a dashboard you can't log into
  • Total spend as one number, fee and media mixed together
Our monthly report
  • Ad spend, pulled from Google and Meta, matching your card statement
  • Calls and form inquiries from ads, and what each one cost
  • Which ads and searches brought those leads in
  • What we changed this month, and what we plan to try next

You can log into your own accounts at any time and check every number against the platform. That is the point of you owning them.

Questions

The things people actually ask.

How much should a small business spend on ads?
For most local businesses, at least $500 a month per platform is where results become readable. The right number depends on what a customer is worth to you. If one booked job pays for a month of ads, you can spend more. We work that out with you before anything goes live.
Why a flat fee instead of a percentage of spend?
A percentage fee pays the agency more when you spend more, whether or not the extra spend is working. A flat fee means our pay doesn't change with your budget, so we can tell you to spend less when that is the right call.
Do I pay you for the ads themselves?
No. Google and Meta bill your own card directly. Our fee is a separate bill for the work. That way you always know exactly how much reached the platforms, because you can see it on your own statement.
Who owns the ad accounts?
You do. Accounts are set up in your business name with you as the owner, and we are added as users. If you ever stop working with us, you remove our access and keep everything, including the history.
Which platforms do you run?
Google Ads, and Meta, which covers Facebook and Instagram from one account. We can also run Yelp ads. We will tell you on the first call which one makes sense first for your business, and it is often only one.
What does setup or cleanup include?
Accounts moved into or created in your name, conversion tracking on calls and forms, campaigns built new or rebuilt from what you already have, and wasted spend switched off. If your current account is a bigger job than usual, the audit shows that before we quote.
How soon will I see results?
Search ads can bring calls within the first week or two. Facebook and Instagram usually take a few weeks to settle as the platform learns who responds. Give any new account about three months before deciding whether ads are worth it for your business.
Can you teach me to run my own ads?
Yes. We can clean up your account and walk you through running it yourself, billed at $85 an hour. Some owners start with us managing it and take it over later, which is easy because the accounts are already theirs.
What does advertising management cost?
$400 a month for one platform plus a $500 one-time setup, or $650 a month for Google and Meta together plus an $850 one-time setup. Ad spend is separate and paid directly to the platforms. One-off reviews, fixes and training are $85 an hour.

Hand off the ads.

Tell us what you are running now, or what you want to start. We'll tell you what we would change first, and what it would cost, before you commit to anything.
