The terms that apply when you subscribe to the Second Set Connector for InkSoft WordPress plugin. For our agency services, see the general Terms of Service.
Effective date: October 30, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Second Set HQ (“Second Set”, “we”, “us”) for the Second Set Connector for InkSoft (the “Plugin”) and the subscription that comes with it. They apply when you buy a plan, activate a license key, or use the Plugin. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.
You are buying a subscription, not a one-time purchase of software. For as long as your subscription is current, the subscription gives you:
The Plugin's code is licensed to you separately and permanently under the GPL, as set out in section 2. Letting your subscription lapse does not take the code away from you. It ends the key, the updates and the support.
The PHP code in the Plugin is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. Under that license you may use, study, modify and redistribute the code. We do not obfuscate or encrypt it, and we do not ask you to give up any right the GPL gives you.
What the GPL does not cover, and what your subscription pays for, is our service: issuing and maintaining your license key, publishing updates to you, and answering your support requests. We may stop providing those to you if your subscription ends or if you breach these terms. Specifically:
Unless your invoice says otherwise, one key covers one live site. Staging, development and local copies of that same site do not use up your seat: the license server treats localhost, 127.0.0.1, hosts beginning staging., and hosts ending .local, .test, .localhost, .wpengine.com, .wpenginepowered.com or .playground.wordpress.net as non-production.
You can move a key between sites. Deactivate it on the old site from the Plugin's License screen, then activate it on the new one. If you need more than one live site on a single key, email us and we will quote the extra seats.
Prices are shown without sales tax. Where we are required to collect sales, use or a similar transaction tax, it is calculated at checkout from the billing address you give us and added to your total. You are responsible for giving us a billing address that is accurate and for any exemption certificate you want applied. If you are exempt, send the certificate to hello@secondsethq.com before you buy.
Refunds. If the Plugin is not right for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. Renewal payments are not refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop the next one.
Cancelling. Cancel by emailing hello@secondsethq.com or from the billing link on your receipt. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.
After cancellation. Your key stops working at the end of the paid period. The Plugin stays installed and the code stays yours under the GPL, but:
If a payment fails. Your key moves to a past-due state and the Plugin keeps working while Stripe retries the payment. We will email you. If the retries are exhausted without payment, the subscription cancels and the paragraph above applies.
Support is by email at hello@secondsethq.com. We aim to reply within one business day, Monday to Friday, Pacific time, excluding United States public holidays. That is a target we work to, not a guaranteed response time, and we do not offer a paid SLA at these prices.
Support covers: installing and configuring the Plugin, its settings and features, bugs and errors in the Plugin, and telling you what is causing a problem when we can see it.
Support does not cover: custom development or design, writing code for you, fixing your theme or other plugins, general WordPress or hosting help, administering your InkSoft account or storefront, content and SEO strategy, or recovering a site from a problem we did not cause. We do all of these as paid work — ask and we will quote it.
The Plugin reads your catalog from InkSoft's public catalog endpoints and links customers into InkSoft's designer, cart and checkout. That means InkSoft is a dependency we do not control. You accept that:
To run your license we store your license key, the email address you bought with, your plan and status, the host names you activate on, the Plugin version each site reports, and the dates of those events. The Plugin also sends a periodic health report (version numbers, catalog counts and error states) so we can spot a broken site before you do. We do not collect your customers' personal data, your orders or your catalog content.
Payment details are held by Stripe under its own terms. Our Privacy Policy covers everything else.
We may suspend or terminate a key without refund if you share, resell or publish it, use it on more live sites than your plan covers, use the Plugin unlawfully, or charge back a payment you owe. Where the problem looks like a mistake rather than abuse, we will email you first and give you a reasonable chance to put it right.
If we ever discontinue the Plugin, we will give at least 60 days' notice, stop charging you, and refund the unused part of any period you have paid for in advance.
The Plugin and the license service are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Plugin will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every theme, plugin or host.
We do not promise any particular business result. Nothing on our website, in a case study or in a conversation is a guarantee of search rankings, traffic, leads, conversions or revenue. Published results describe what happened for a named shop on a stated date and are not a forecast for yours.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Second Set HQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost sales, lost or corrupted data, or business interruption, even if we were told such damages were possible.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Plugin or this agreement, taken together, will not exceed the total amount you paid us for the Plugin in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct or gross negligence.
You will defend and indemnify Second Set against any third-party claim arising from your catalog or site content, your use of the Plugin in breach of these terms or of the law, or your relationship with InkSoft or your customers. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control the defense, so long as you do not settle in a way that admits fault on our part or costs us money without our written agreement.
We may update these terms. For a material change we will email the address on your account at least 30 days beforehand, and the change takes effect at your next renewal. Continuing to use the Plugin after that date means you accept the new terms. If you do not, cancel before the renewal and these terms as they stand today govern the period you have already paid for. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in San Diego County, California have exclusive jurisdiction, and both of us consent to venue there. Either of us may still bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.
Before filing anything, email hello@secondsethq.com and give us 30 days to sort it out. Most problems are a misunderstanding and a reply fixes them.
